Women's Functional & Integrative Health Coaching
My first experience with ovarian cysts began in my freshman year of college when I woke up one morning and felt a pain so intense that I thought surely whatever was overtaking my body was life-threatening. A friend drove me a few streets away to the campus health center and as I waited the pain began to let up.By the time the doctor on duty was able to see me, the pain was much less than it initially had been. The young doctor said, “I don’t know, maybe it’s your gallbladder? Come back if it happens again.” And it did happen again and again. 24 years would pass before I had a practitioner that listened to my full story and connected the dots to my PCOS diagnosis. I see women all around Even once I had the diagnosis in hand, it took time to realize that I was my own best healer. Health coaching has been instrumental in helping me to see where I want to go and make the plan for how to get there. Sometimes it just takes one person to listen fully and deeply to your story and ask the questions that illuminate the key points of your journey. A functional doctor helped with the diagnosis, but the health coach is the person that will help you with the lifestyle, nutrition, movement, sleep and stress management necessary to turn the tide on your root causes that are causing imbalances throughout your mind, body and spirit. Integrative medicine health and wellbeing coaching helps you to take a deeper look at your root causes to address your physical environment, nutrition and lifestyle, mental and emotional well-being, fulfillment and purpose, physical activity and fitness and sleep and rest. If you’re not sure where to start, we start with you. Your story. Your journey. I’ll be your partner every step of the way, but you’re in the driver’s seat.
